Thailand and in particular, Koh Samui is famous the world over as a good value holiday destination, you can (if you so desire) pick up a clean simple backpackers room for as little as 200 baht per night, these basic rooms are usually to be found in the more popular resorts such as Chaweng and Bohput.
Whilst on a recent trip, we had a look at the famous Wave at Samui, this is a small, friendly and clean Bar come restaurant that offers reasonably priced accommodation and was a real hit with the young students who were travelling as part of a year out of education.
We recently stayed at the Centara Grand (Chaweng), this hotel (pictured in the header of this page) was simply stunning and was one of the ‘mid – high’ price range hotels. As part of our package, we upgraded from the standard rooms to the club floor which allowed us access to the club lounge throughout the day and evening. In the lounge, the excellent and very friendly staff offered FREE tea, coffee and soft drinks throughout the day and between the hours of 5 – 7, there was a cocktail hour when all the alcoholic drinks were also free, including Champagne. Hor dourves and canopes were also served during this time.
In general, hotel prices in Koh Samui are very reasonable (Ranging from as little as 200 baht per night to over 30,000 baht), even when you stay at the lower end of the scale, the value and service you receive is without doubt, second to none and the traditional Thai values of courtesy and always a smile hold true. If you are looking for a hotel for your Holiday in Koh Samui, then why not try Hotels Combined booking engine, they offer a comprehensive range of all types of Koh Samui Hotels and are very competitively priced.
